VITOR OLIVEIRA
Hailing from Teresópolis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Vitor, the four time world champion, brings over two decades of world class Jiu-Jitsu experience to Ronin. He immersed himself in training at the legendary Pitbull Academy when he was only 8 years old. Following in his father’s footsteps, he earned his black belt from Adilson de Lima at the age of 22. Since receiving this highly respected rank from one of the world’s top BJJ instructors, Professor Oliveira has joined Grappling Fight Team as a renowned coach and competitor. In addition to sharing his love and knowledge of BJJ with both children and adults, he remains an active competitor in some of the world’s most prestigious Jiu Jitsu tournaments. When it comes to teaching BJJ, you won’t find a more qualified instructor than Vitor. And while he loves to see his students excel in tournaments, what he loves the most is the progress each student makes as a result of hard work and determination. AARON BOGGS
Coach Boggs has traveled the globe to sharpen his martial arts skills, learning under some of the world’s most talented strikers. Starting as a student of Tae Kwon Do more than 20 years ago, he’s since trained in boxing, Wushu, Kum Do, Judo and Muay Thai. Boggs spent 5 years in Asia, learning under the tutelage of masters like Champ Oh Seong (Korea’s National Muay Thai Champion) and South Africa’s Kobus Huisamen (Kickboxing Champion and Pro MMA Fighter). It was during this pilgrimage that Boggs was introduced to Muay Thai, and finally found the exact striking art he had been looking for.
After two decades of training and perfecting his craft, Coach Boggs has settled back in Ohio. He’s brought technique and experience from all over the world right here to Ronin, and he’s eager to share what he’s learned with others. Back in the U.S., he’s studied with legends like An Tian Rong, Neal Rowe, Saekson Janjira and Samart Payakaroon.

JOSH WILLIAMS
Shortly after UFC debuted in 1993, Josh stepped into the cage and hasn’t looked back. Using his strong foundation in wrestling and no-gi BJJ, he made a name for himself in the Ohio MMA scene that won’t soon be forgotten. Josh’s endeavors don’t stop at the cage– he competed in collegiate level Judo at The Ohio State University and continues to train some of highest level athletes in the industry. After a successful MMA career Josh shifted his focus to coaching, producing top-notch fighters who have represented Ronin locally and across the country.
Since 2005, Coach Williams has sharpened the skills of fighters both amateur and professional, equipping them with the training they need to be successful in the ring. His students’ countless titles at the local and national level are a true testament to Josh’s ability as a coach. At RTC, he’s continuing his legacy of building some of the best fighters to come out of Ohio.
ETIENNE OTERO
Etienne was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. For him, Judo was very much a part of his upbringing training under his father, former apprentice of O-Sensei Masayuki Takahama, and 1967 & 1968 Caribbean Champion, Edwin Otero. In 1994 Etienne continued Judo training at the Ohio State University Judo Club under O-Sensei George Funakoshi and Sensei Virgil Goodwine receiving the rank of 1st grade brown belt (Ikkiu).
During this time Etienne competed at tournaments for the Puerto Rico Judo Federation, State of Ohio tournaments, and National Collegiate Championships. Etienne now holds a 2nd degree black belt (Nidan), and has been Judo Instructor for the Columbus Youth Guild Judo Club together with Sensei Nick Wolak (Yodan) since 2004.
CASEY BOYER
Casey is the Lead Instructor and owner of the Southpaw Krav Maga program at Ronin Training Center. Drawn to the simple, effective, ‘do anything necessary’ approach of Krav Maga, Casey has been teaching the renowned self-defense system for nearly a decade. Casey currently holds a Krav Maga Alliance Level 6 (Black Belt 2nd Degree).
Instructor certification, a Practical Instructor certification from the Wingate Institute in Netanya, Israel, and numerous other certifications qualifying him to teach adults, kids, MIL/LEO, and ultimately anyone in need of learning to protect themselves and loved ones. As a member of the Krav Maga Alliance Training Team, Casey was hand selected to travel the country training the newest generations of KMA instructors and in 2017 became a member of the KMA Executive Board.

ROB RICHARDSON
Boxing Coach Rob Richardson is a seasoned athlete ready to help Ronin fighters discover their true potential on their feet. From earning multiple conference titles in wrestling to taking fights on only a day’s notice, Coach Rob isn’t afraid to tackle a challenge head on. These days, his biggest motivation as a coach is sharing his love of boxing with others. After years of training and competing in boxing, BJJ, MMA, and Muay Thai, he considers making a positive impact on his students to be his greatest achievement. With over 15 years of boxing experience he’s here to equip his students with the tools they need to succeed in and out of the ring.
